DEALING WITH STRESS IN DAILY LIVES

In our daily rush to reach work on time, complete targets, meet deadlines, submissions, exams, catching the train or the bus, we tend to neglect our mental health and physical health. We get so focused on taking care of other’s needs that we tend to ignore what our body and mind requires, some peace. Today, stress is one of the leading problems that people go to the therapists for. But unfortunately, in most cases, it is when the case has become a lot more worse. For a healthy life, stress management has become as important as following a healthy diet routine or a physical fitness regime.
Stress has its own set of ill-effects. Low energy, headaches, upset stomach, fluctuating heartbeat, higher frequency of falling ill, loss of sexual desire and so on. A constant amount of stress could lead to increased risk of getting heart diseases, diabetes, blood pressure. It is the body’s way of telling you to cool down a bit and not push yourself too hard. Getting a stress management therapy from a professional psychologist could help a lot. They are trained to treat their patients empathetically with a non-judgemental hearing and give their clients tips and exercises to help reduce stress.
You could relieve your stress by investing time in some or the other productive recreational activity. Anything, that you love to do and will teach you something new. Studies suggest that humans are the happiest when they do something they love. These happy hormones are very important for the mind to feel fresh and rejuvenated to take up any task.
