In this roller coaster of life, we all have our ups and downs. As we grow from children, to adolescent to adults, we all learn some important life lessons. Some experiences are to teach us a lesson that we aren’t going to learn academically. We all carry our own baggage of pain and hurt but life goes on and going with the flow is what we can do the least. Learn from the ugly past to make a beautiful present is what many philosophers believe in. But can that happen if we aren’t able to handle ourselves properly. For the outer world we maybe someone who is cheerful and filled with life, but inside, we might hurting so much that it can’t even be expressed to anybody. As the years go by, we tend to lock some feelings and some incidents up in a box somewhere behind our mind and throw the key away.

But there comes a time when this box breaks and all emotions come out as a major flooding. If such a situation arrives where you feel completely helpless and feel as though you have hit rock bottom of your life, seeing a counselling psychologist becomes very important. A psychologist may not give you a direct solution to your problem, but he or she will provide you with a patient listening that is non-judgemental and comfortable for you. They will also help you work on finding a solution to your problem by giving you some mental exercises that will liberate you from the cycle of negative thoughts.

Note that seeking help from psychology therapy is not going to mean that you are weak. It no way means to demoralise you. In fact, addressing your problem and trying to reach a solution with a little help from outside is the best thing you can give yourself to get out of misery.
