Teens don’t have to worry about bills, career, household chores or anything that an adult often worries about. However, it’s not like they don’t have any stress. There are issues they deal with – bullying, peer pressure, love problems and academic issues. These are on their own very stressful and most of the times teens cannot overcome these problems without appropriate support in the form of a reliable stress management therapy. Stressed-out teens are at a higher risk for mental health problems, academic problems as well as other health issues. 2.     Disturbed Sleep Cycle - Stress has a major impact on your body’s sleep cycle. An overtired teen has much less ability to tolerate stress, which is why they tend to sleep too much. Thus, when they sleep more, their sleep timetable is hindered, and their day cycle is disturbed as well. This further disrupts your whole routine, which is why it is ideal to seek help from professional support groups before it’s too late.

3.      Educational Problems- Most of the stress in a teen’s life stems from academics. The pressure of performing the best is the major reason of stress for teens. This pressure leads to stress and eventually affects your teens’ mental and physical health.

4.     Changes in Socialization - Often, stress tends to change a teen’s social habits. Social isolation is one of the symptoms that a teen is struggling through stress and they prefer to spend more time in their room, away from the world that looks chaotic.

5.     Frequent Illness - Stressed teens are more likely to fall sick more often, which leads to them missing school, college and other social events. Frequent illness is a symptom that your teen is suffering from a lot of stress.

6.     Negative Changes in Behavior - Stress is often revealed by certain behavioural changes in your teens. When you see multiple negative behavioural problems which make them skip school and talk back. Negative behaviour is something you should never ignore because that could often lead to stress.

7.     Difficulty Concentrating - Teens who have a lot on their minds often have a hard time concentrating on their work. They may become easily distracted in class and everywhere they go. They are sure to face difficulty staying on task while completing their homework.

8.     General Sense of Worry - Teens who are dealing with intense stress often worry about anything and everything. They worry about all the possible bad things and their way of handling things. If you witness a lot of worry o your teen’s face, it is definite that your child is suffering from stress.
