Lately, a lot of concerns are being raised regarding kids and their mental health. Mental health of kids is a tricky space because of the lack of awareness and the sensitivity of the matter. Parents are specially concerned about the health of their kids during the lockdown while they are locked indoors. It is a matter of fact that it is not easy for the kids as well. The foremost thing that the parents need to learn nothing is wrong with child therapy. Prejudice blocking your perspectives and your child’s growth is the last thing you need when your child is suffering.

Kids feel and emote as much as we do and hence some kind of acting out is okay. It is completely normal if they are throwing a temper tantrum at times. Irritation, screaming, and stubbornness are common. However, it is the responsibility of the parents to take a note of the frequency, time, and the intensity of their outburst. A lot depends on that. Severity and the age are factors to be considered before deciding whether the child has a behavioural disorder. Take notes and compare. While comparing is one of the biggest problems of the parenting world, it is important to look at the outside world before coming to conclusions. Using your existing to create a sort of guide and help posts can be fruitful.

Children often internalise a lot of their issues. Make it a point to patiently talk to your kids. While of the disorders like ADHD have visible symptoms, many other mental disorders don’t. Being in constant touch with your children will help you understand if your kid needs behavioural therapy for children. Something as basic as frequent tummy aches or the unwillingness to eat can be an indicator of something major. However, as mentioned before, do not hesitate to seek help.
