DEALING WITH ANXIETY AND DEPRESSION

We all have our issues in daily lives. Be it in relationships, at work or in our career. There are going to be complications and confusions in every field and in every aspect. And of course the path to the solution is never easy, especially if one is going through anxiety depression. For a person who is just sad, there are many ways to cope up with the temporary sadness. But imagine being sad all the time. When you are plain sad, there is a reason behind it. But depression is worse, because it is a feeling of constantly being sad, without even knowing the actual reason. There is a feeling of emptiness inside which no matter what you do, does not seem to get filled.
Anxiety is another issue that is face by a large part of the population. Anxiety is a condition of constant worry and fear that are enough to meddle with a person’s daily routine. Panic attack, OCDs are some examples of the same. It definitely is not a pleasant state to be in. Imagine being stuck in a miserable loop of constant worrying and fear of the future. Having heart rate increased to top. Where you keep thinking about what will happen next, what the consequences of your tiny actions would be and so on. How bad would it be? Horrifying, isn’t it?
But there is seldom a disorder today that does not have a solution. Depression related anxiety also has something called anxiety therapy. It helps to properly diagnose and address the reason of anxiety and hence the depression related to it. Anxiety disorders can definitely be addressed with just the right information, support and help.
Statistics suggest that there are around 10 million cases in India per year of anxiety. Also, the age group that is the most affected are from 14 to 60. That is from young adults to the older ones. The reasons for this at a particular age might be different, but their effect remains the same. This inner turmoil can definitely be tackled by seeking help from a good medical practitioner (therapist).
Some more symptoms of anxiety include, panic, fear, sleep problems, uneasiness, dry mouth, nausea, dizziness, tense muscles, shortness of breath, not being able to stay still etc. Although changes in brain and daily stress could be the reasons to anxiety, it could be genetic too. Anxiety could run in families and could be because of faulty circuits in the brain that control our fear and emotions.
The first step in dealing with anxiety issues would be visiting a well-qualified and certified psychologist and getting a psychology therapy. Also known as therapists, they are trained to help you carve out a path for your own. They may not be the one to pull you out of your tough times but they are there to help you pull yourself out of it. If the anxiety issue is at a bigger scale, then they may also provide you with some medications to ease the symptoms a little and control your panic attacks.
Thus, the help is just a word away. You need to address it rightly.
